Happy Sabbath friends! I have another post for you all that I hope you can find upliftment and comfort in. Have you ever had moments where you have asked yourself “am I good enough?”. It could be in moments with a significant other, a love interest, your job, school, family, friendships, etc. where you may ask yourself that. For myself, I have asked myself that question in all the situations mentioned and probably much more. I have news for you all today, and even myself, that YOU ARE ENOUGH. You are enough in Christ!!! There is no competing for His affections. There is no begging for His time. He will never talk down to you. You are enough and worth every penny in God’s eyes. “So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows” (Matthew 10:31 NLT). Even when you feel you are not worthy of God’s time and energy, guess what? You are worth it!!! God desires to have a relationship with you no matter how far you may feel you are from Him. “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow–not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below–indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39 NLT). We just have to open our hearts to God and allow Him to transform our lives, hearts, and spirits. The world, or should I say, the devil, is going to do everything in its power to tear you down and tear you away from our Heavenly Father. This is why it is true that the Christian walk is never perfect. Just because you opened your heart to Jesus, does not mean that life will be easier, people will see your worth, everyone will be so kind, etc. Actually, if I am being honest, it gets harder because the world does not want you to live your life for Jesus, it wants you to live your life for the world. Of course, God gives us free will, and a choice to whether or not you want to walk the narrow way with Him, but in full transparency, the world may make it hard to stay close with God, but life truly is better with Him. God is the only one who truly knows you! “Yes, God even knows how many hairs you have on your head. Don’t be afraid. You are worth much more than many birds” (Luke 12:7 ERV). This life may not be perfect, but God is perfect, and He loves you unconditionally. He sees your worth and purpose. He values you and truly wants the best for you. This is why we need to stay close with God because He will be there with us every step of the way. Through the good, and the bad, and the really really bad. He will be there with you through it all. You just need to let Him into your heart and have Him transform your life, and you surely will start seeing life how God sees life. You will then realize how worth it you truly are in God’s eyes. Don’t let the world take advantage, and/or strip you away from that.
YOU. ARE. WORTH. IT.
Amen.
