I Love You

Happy one day before Valentine’s Day! I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow whether you’re in a relationship, or as single as a pringle. I know Valentine’s Day is typically known for displaying acts of love for your significant other, but I like to look at it in a different perspective. I like to look at Valentine’s Day as a day to celebrate God’s everlasting love that He has for all of us.

“Yes, God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him would not be lost but have eternal life” (John 3:16 ERV).

God loves you! Isn’t that worth celebrating? His love is so great that He sent His only Son to die for our sins, and He also promises us eternal life! If you are single on Valentine’s Day this year, instead of spending it with sorrow and loneliness, spend it with Jesus. If you are spending your Valentine’s Day with a significant other, spend the day delving into God’s Word together.

“Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love” (1 John 4:8 ERV).

God is love. Valentine’s Day is known to be a day designated to love. If this is the case, shouldn’t the day be filled with celebrating, worshipping and thanking God for His unconditional love?

For Valentine’s Day, let us all delve into God’s Word. You can do so whether it is by yourself, or with your loved ones. Spend some time with Jesus on Valentine’s Day by thanking Him for His true love He displays towards us each and everyday.

“True love is God’s love for us, not our love for God. He sent His Son as the way to take away our sins” (1 John 4:10 ERV).

Have a blessed Valentine’s Day.

Amen.
