Stronger

2021 Verse of the Year:

“But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And He rescued me from certain death. Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into His heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen” (2 Timothy 4:17-18 NLT).

For 2020 my word of the year was patience. It was always something I struggled with, and I still need to work on it every day, but in 2020 it was my main focus. I implemented patience when it came to being single and waiting for God to bless me with the person with my name written on their heart. Also, when it came to reaching my goals mentally, physically and spiritually. 2020 was a waiting season for me. Implementing patience also showed me who was real, and the toxicity that was in my life. 2020 was definitely filled with a lot of lessons, and for 2021 I plan to take what I learned and grow stronger from it.

For 2021 my word of the year is stronger. My goal is to become stronger physically, mentally and spiritually. In 2020 I learned a lot, and I probably will learn a lot more in 2021, but the goal is to grow from my mistakes and grow stronger. In 2021 I want to strengthen my relationship with Christ and depend on Him more by trusting Him completely. In the past, I would allow people to walk all over me and take advantage of me. This year by growing my faith in Christ, I know God will bless me with the strength to start standing up for myself in a Christian way. At the end of 2021 I hope to reflect on this year and notice a difference in how I carry myself. I pray that at the end of this year I will have a stronger mindset and be able to stand up for myself and not let my anxiety, or people overpower me. I pray I will grow stronger physically by working out consistently and being more conscientious about my health by drinking more water especially. Lastly, I pray that my relationship with Christ will be strengthened where instead of always trying to take control of a situation, I just give it to God and trust in Him. Where I start my day and end it with Him consistently. I know I will have days where there will be setbacks to these goals, but no one said the journey would be easy. With God by my side I know nothing is impossible, and I know having stronger as my word of the year will encourage me to pursue my goals. “Jesus replied, ‘What is impossible with man is possible with God’” (Luke 18:27 NIV).
