Why?

Has something ever happened in your life and all you can think is “Why did you allow this to happen God?”. In my life, I have asked God that in certain situations because the devil has a way of convincing us when bad things happen that God did it to us. When this happens you need to remember that anything bad does not come from God. That anxiety you feel, is not God’s doing. Everything bad is all part of the devil’s plan. God does state that there will be trials and tribulation in our lives, but we need to make it a habit to turn to Him when these struggles take place in our lives. “Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from Him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights in the sky. But God never changes like the shadows from those lights. He is always the same” (James 1:17 ERV). Everything good in your life has been from God. He never changes. Those trials and tribulations you may face are from the devil, but they are also brought to you to make yourself stronger in Christ. God has the capability of making you stronger if you just submit yourself to Him. “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13 NIV). Throughout your life you are going to face so much. You’re going to go through moments where you want to jump up and down from excitement and happiness, and you’re going to go through moments where all you want to do is be alone and cry. It is completely normal to go through these things as long as you give it all to God. Not just the moments where you want to be alone and cry, but the moments where you’re filled with excitement and happiness as well. God wants all of you. He wants to hear everything that happens in your life. He should be your best friend and I do not know about you, but I tell my best friend(s) everything. That is how God should be to you. “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day” (Psalms 46:5 NIV). The next time you think “Why did this happen to me God?”; instead, go to Him and tell Him about what happened. He will comfort you and provide you with the strength to move on and grow from the situation. When God is with you, you will not fail. With God, you will always succeed in the end because you are saved.

Amen.
