Let me start off this post and say this: Life is hard. Life throws a plethora of trials and tribulations your way all the time. Even as a believer you will still go through trials and tribulations where all you can and know to do is cry out to God, “Lord, I need You!”. I’ve been in so many situations where I feel so overwhelmed that all I can and know to do is fall on my knees and cry out to the Lord our God asking for His help. The world is so fickle fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I’ve noticed that the times I put my hope and faith in the world I always get shut down. It never works out because guess what? The world doesn’t prevail, GOD DOES. The Lord’s plan and purpose for your life ALWAYS prevails. His love is everlasting!

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you” (1 Peter 5:7 NLT).

Did you catch what was stated? “He cares about you”! Our Heavenly Father cares about you and me! I’m going to share a little story about my life with y’all pertaining to this verse. I used to have a friend where whenever my life felt like it was falling to pieces, I would go to that friend for advice, or just to cast all my worries and cares to them. I would finish talking and I noticed that friend would just disregard what I was saying, or just not take interest in my problem at all. It broke my heart every time I would try because I viewed that friend as my confidant and it was like that friend didn’t even care to listen. I bet that you’ve had a friend like this once and it truly does hurt when someone you care about may not feel the same about you. Let me share one thing about this story…I was putting my complete trust and my heart in the world, not God. I’m not here to say to stop telling your friends your problems and heart’s desires because you probably do have a few friends you can do that with. I do too! I’m here to tell you that instead of always putting your trust and heart in the world, try giving it ALL to Christ. 1 Peter 5:7 proves that God cares about you! He cares to hear what may be overwhelming you. He cares to hear about the small problems that to other’s may not be a big deal, but to Christ, you are a big deal and worth it because He cares about YOU! Yes, YOU! Don’t let the devil convince you that God doesn’t care to hear about whatever is wearing down your heart. Whether it’s a problem with a friend or family member, an issue at work, stress from school and many others…God wants to hear everything! He wants all of you! He wants your whole heart. Stop letting temptations, trails and tribulations wear you down; instead, give it ALL to Christ. Stop holding on…let go!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done” (Philippians 4:6 NLT).
