Good Morning

I don’t know if you have ever known the phrase “Make it a great day, or not–the choice is yours”. Even if you have or have not, that phrase is absolutely correct. The choice is yours! Each day you get to decide how you want your day to go, and what you want your mood to be. What has helped me have great days is to wake up, get a cup of coffee, and spend time with Jesus. I’ve noticed when I make this a daily habit, my mood is instantly better the rest of the day. It helps me focus on the good things in life and truly see the world how God views the world. It helps humble me for the rest of the day, helps ease my anxiety, and helps me draw even closer with Christ. “The Sovereign Lord has given me His words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning He wakens me and opens my understanding to His will” (Isaiah 50:4 NLT). You have a choice every time you wake up whether you want to delve into God’s word, worship and praise His name, or just merely talk with Him. God is the definition of love, joy, and a true blessing to our lives. If we start our days with Him, won’t it bring that love, joy, and true blessing into our days? I believe so! I’ve seen it happen! I know we all have busy lives, but I truly believe if you can find a chance to fit spending time with God in your morning routine, it will truly cause a life changing impact to your day(s). “And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He departed and went out to a desolate place, and there He prayed” (Mark 1:35 ESV). You could even follow Jesus’ footsteps and wake up early in the morning to spend time with God. I wake up at 3:30 a.m. for work and spending time with Jesus at that time during my morning routine is amazing because it’s so peaceful. Just like Jesus, you could even find a special area where you go to worship with Christ! You could even have a couple of areas if you like different scenery each day. I usually will spend time with God at my desk, on my porch, my bed (usually this is where I go before I go to sleep to spend time with God by reading the Bible and praying), or even in the kitchen while I drink some morning coffee. Like I said in the beginning, “Make it a great day, or not–the choice is yours”. So how are you going to spend your mornings? Spending time with God, or stressing about how you want your day to go? The choice is yours. “Show me Your faithful love this morning. I trust in You. Show me what I should do. I put my life in Your hands!” (Psalms 143:8 ERV).

Amen.
